Someone has been passing a virus around the family. I was fortunate enough to just get a mild touch - no puking, just upset stomach and feeling like I was hit by a truck. Unfortunately, Brayden seems to have been hit the hardest. He started to get sick on Sunday night and has continued with vomiting and explosive diapers since then. Fortunately, it's not an all day thing but still, it's not gone. Mom, Rachel, Valerie and Matt each had it for about 24 hours.
Here's a look at my past 2 weeks:
2/15 - Ran half marathon, flew to Los Angeles for class, visited with Jodi until way too late
2/16 - Training class, no run (need to catch up on sleep)
2/17 - Training class, no run
2/18 - Training class, no run
2/19 - Training class, no run (starting to see a pattern)
2/20 - 7 a.m. flight from LA to Houston - exhausted, no run, Bat Mitzvah, dinner
2/21 - Bat Mitzvah, Lunch, nap, 5 mile run, shower, party
2/22 - 10 a.m. flight. Houston - Charlotte - Lexington flights, drive to Barbourville, KY
2/23 - Audit, starting to feel sick (perhaps bad dinner contributed), no run
2/24 - Audit, feeling sick all day. Slept on the way to office, on the way to airport, on both flights (Lexington - Charlotte - Pittsburg). Awake during 50+ mile drive to Wheeling, WV
2/25 - Audit, too tired to run again but at least I feel better (80% normal)
2/26 - Audit, dinner, pack, expense reports, blog, bed
2/27 - Plan: Work, drive 50+ miles to Pittsburg airport, hope I can get on early flight back home (Pittsburg-Chicago-Austin) so I don't land at 11:00 p.m. (best case, land 4:15 p.m.)
So, it's been an exhausting 2 weeks and I've run a total of two times, for a pathetic total of 18 miles. I'm not happy with those numbers, but they are what they are. Next week I get to work from Austin, so fortunately, I'll get back on track with healthier eatting and running. I'm ready to be home!
